Just fixed my outer air flap/cold air leak woes...

Hey, all,
I thought I would relay my cure in case anyone was in a similar situation. My '84 900 S (just 1 month "old" to me, now) would let air seep in all the vents, even though air distribution dash switch was on the "O" position. I found that the outer air flap (under the hood vent on top of passenger side) wasn't closing like it's supposed to. If the car was running and I switched on the recirculate button, though, the outer flap would close (as it should).
I remembered on my previous SAAB (an identical twin to current, exc. for color) that the air flap shut when engine running and switch at "O."
So, last night, I pulled out the radio and checked the wires to the air distr. switch. Sure enough, one was unplugged and dangling (gray wire, third connection point on switch if counting down from top). I guess the previous owner had accidently pulled it loose when replacing the Clarion unit long ago. Now, when I drive the car and air distr. switch is at "O," air doesn't seep in at highway speeds! (A big deal now that it's wintertime!)
Just thought this might help someone.
