use the emergency brake? The e-brake on the passenger side will still work. Since the cable is not connected to the sticking caliper, the e-brake shouldn't be an issue. My passenger side e-brake was sticking, so I unhooked the cable and the driver side still works fine. Replacing parts is not always necessary.
Forgive me if I sound grumpy. Lack of sleep the last two nights and the need for a lunchtime nap is what's bugging me.
