Problems with Bosal...... They don't fit well....

.....Bosal uses longer post catalytic converter piping and muffler to make up the difference, which is a royal PIA. When I needed post cat pipes and muffler, I bought Bosal and then needed to shave off that same 1.5-3 inches. The place that sold the system to me was so embarrassed that they had it fixed for free. (Parts Source in Saskatoon, Canada is awesome with regards to service). What you need to do is get one of those 2 inch pipe extensions with 2 clamps to hold it on. I can't remember if both sides of the cat bolt on. If that is the case you need to cut your pipe and extend it from its middle. If the pipe fits into the cat, you just need to place the extender onto the end of the pipe and into the cat. Then clamp it down.

Either that, or my suggestion and my $0.02 is to just get a cat that is correct from Saab. I find that especially in muffler system, Saab pipes are bent properly and an slapping under the body and over the axle are not an issue. Saab stock OE equipment is the way to go in some cases. Sometimes spending the money is actually cheaper.
