I had an 82 900 years ago. It had cold start problems. It would start up and you had to pump the gas to prevent it from dying. If the car was warm, such as returning from the store, it was fine.

The shop thought it was the fuel injectors being plugged. Every time they cleaned them by pumping fluid through them, the problem would improve quite a bit or be solved, but only for a short time.

Finally they said they adjusted the warm up regulator but the articulate guy left early and the replacement couldn't explain exactly what they did. Whatever it was, the problems was permanently solved.
