I just did this after the spots on my driveway went from quarters to bigger. I put a new oil pressure sensor unit in and in the process dropped my 24mm impact socket into the nether regions of the engine bay. I looked and looked and still can't find the damn thing. Use a deep socket and let it click in, so you won't drop it.
The sender was like $25 at the dealer. It is probably like $5 at a TSN sponsor. Don't buy it at the dealer...
I washed the engine to look for more leaks. I'll know in a few days it this solved the problem!
