IN the usual fashion, at 1 mph backing out of a parkspot. Seaching this site reveals a number of these unacceptable failures. 1) I'll join the class if somebody gets the suit filed, but don't just settle for coupon for 2% off my next Saab 2) Could a few of you logical thinkers speculate to why this component so often fails in this mode. Is it always the driver side? mine wuz ... snapped well away from the bushing on the trailing leg. Happened with my kid driving who carefully pulled it back into the space. Looks to me that the Bilstein is broke too, wonder what else dies as a consequence? tie rods, steering gear? Even a Pinto doesn't suffer from this kind catastrophic failure though I did see a salt-belt Pinto that rusted so badly it broke in the middle. Love to all
