people drive and take care of cars that it's just about impossible form any useful conclusions in terms of what year Saabs are better than others. As a dealer I see and drive a lot of cars and I've seen plenty of NG 900s with 200,000 plus miles that are still in good shape. I also see plenty of GM cars with 200,000 plus miles. Name the worst peice of crap you can think of and I've seen some with 200k that looked great. Name the most reliable car you can think of (such as Toyota) and I seen dozens that were shot at 100k. A friend has 93 Cadillac Seville with 240,000 miles that looks and drives like new. Another friend has a 1965 Austin Healey 3000 with over 230,000 miles on it that looks like new. A guy at the parts store has a Corsica with 260K on it. I saw a 197? Renault Fuego driving around this afternoon. What can you conclude from this? Nothing! How you drive and care for a car probably makes more difference than how it was built. Or sometimes it's just luck of the draw. Maybe cars have some sort of consciousness that responds to how much they are loved--who knows.
