These four long screws are all of different lengths, and fit up from the bottom of the dashboard to hold the panel in place. There's one at the end near the driver's door, then one just to the left of the instrument panel, one just to the right of the instrument panel, then one at the other end near the center air vent. They are threaded up through holes in the molded dash, and through holes (and each has a plastic straw-like tube) in arms on the plastic panel. They should screw in easily, but since they can be hard to line up, can get stripped. The female threads are held in the top of the molded dashboard, but can possibly be rethreaded to hold a new screw. I got replacements at a junk yard.
If just one, in the middke, is missing, you may not notice a problem, although probably you'll notice some new rattling or vibration.
