Thanks GTW You can see from the attached photo of the stock bolt that the threads are in about 90% contact with the ID of the bushing -- pictured are the poly bushings that I scrapped to go to the OE bushings with the thicker sleeve. Notice that I had the bushings faced towards each other, but I still wonder what the proper orientation should be. You see, the thread diameter is smaller than the shank diameter, and that is not good for the fit to the ID of the sleeve.

Anyway, I took a 140mm bolt from Fastenal and now almost all of the bolt shank is in contact with the ID of the sleeve. I would like it even tighter, but I wasn't going to have a machine shop make a special fastener, but if it was going on my airplane, then that would be a different story!!!

Also, note that the bolt hex for the 140mm bolt is the correct 17mm and not the 16mm for the OE bolt. I read that the manual calls out 17mm wrench.

Like I said before, the most important thing is that when the alternator is adjusted tight, that each belt has the same amount of tension on the belt. However the bushings are oriented for that best result is the way it should be.
