NAPA uses a major brand hose, such as Aeroquip, Parker, Dayco or Gates. Most shops have a policy not to re-crimp a customers hose, re-using fittings or hose is a no-no. They will say it is for liability, but in reality they make their money on selling hose & fittings, not doing favors for cheapskates like me. Fortunately I worked in a hose shop for 4 years, but we did not do any AC lines. The massive amount of different fittings for different application would be too costly to keep in inventory. For hoses with tubing attached, we would recommend cutting the tubing slightly, and using a steel-type compression fitting, custom made to crimp to hoses.
All of the major brands have SAE specification hose for AC systems. These now have a plastic inner liner as a barrier to keep the smaller molecules of the R134 from permeating through the walls of the hose.If R134 is used in the old hoses, it will leak out, right through the hose, without any fitting or o-ring leaks. Although all major brands hoses are SAE speced, and within a few thousanths in diameter fluctuations, it is a hose shop no-no to mix brands, again for liabilty sakes.
