Blows intercooler pipe from throttle body Posted by twells [Email] (#1632) [Profile/Gallery] (more from twells) on Sat, 13 Jan 2007 17:55:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi,
I purchased an 85 900T 3spd Auto with 150k from ebay. I assume the engine is not original because the block is red. As far as I can tell, it has the LH 2.2 fuel system. This car does not have a hooter valve. Since owning it, it seems to have a severe hesitation, almost a chug, when I accelerate. If I accelerate moderately, it has a tendancy to blow the intercooler turbo pipe off the throttle body or the vaccuum fitting containing the hose for the brake booster off the intake manifold. I've given it a tune up and replaced vacuum hoses. AIC, O2 sensor, and FPR (2.5) all seem to be working fine.
Appreciate your thoughts,
Twells
