I've tried the bike tube way and there's not enough pressure for flow to overcome the bubbles that keep rising back up inside the line. If you pump the pedal fast, five or ten times, then keep it held down (a short chunk of 2x4, jammed between thee pedal and the lip of the seat, works if you don't have a helper), trot around front, crack bleeder briefly, set it back on seat. Jump back in, pump lots of times again, again jam pedal down without letting it back up, again out front and crack bleeder, eventually it compresses the air enough and gets enough of it out that it feels like you're making progress, and then it happens very quickly, one or two more bleeds.
But I did that before I read CMyles's method. It sounds slick and he says it works and, ya know, he plainly knows what he's talkin about.
You can get the clear poly tube at about any hardware store - - take the bleeder out and take it with you if you want to make sure it fits. Tube needs to hold enough to fill interior of slave cylinder and the entire line back up to master cylinder, so don't get it too short. But since the line has largely been bled there's more fluid than air already in the line so maybe his guess of two feet is enough.
