Oh yes, yet another thing to read and come to the conclusion that this guy must be a total idiot. When I got my convertible it had the splitfire plugs in it and having never had run the little buggers, I gapped them and have been running the car for about a year. Lately I have been getting a dead miss and couldn't figure out why. So's I pulls the plugs finally and holy-moley what a gap. Then thinking I had gapped the plugs square like you would any plug (as the light came on in my head), the distance from the split end and the electrode was a diagonal distance and is greater than what I had gapped. So you have to gap the diagonal distance on these plugs for them to work properly. Miss was gone and immediately the car ran great and the next day when the computer had had time to adjust back to premium fuel (it was probably thinking the miss was a knock) it was back to it's aggressive scootability.

Anyway, just a tidbit for anyone that cares, later.
