Screwed around for over an hour last night trying to get the stupid press pin out of the shaft of my distributor so I could replace the internal oil seal. What a PITA. Ranks right up there in the top 5 frustrating things to do to repair a c900.

I was using my bench vice, a small socket and a smaller press pin. Lost a few press pins I was using for doing the pushing, as they went flying into the nether regions of the shop when I torqued down the vice and they couldn't take the strain (why won't this f'n thing move!!!). Fortunately I didn't get any embedded in my flesh. I finally figured out if I gently tapped on the press pin I was using to do the pushing with the claw end of a hammer that the vibrations would help the pin in the shaft break free and move. 2+ hours on the first dizzy I did, 15 minutes on the second.
