I did those wheels about a year ago. They are holding up fine. I only stripped the paint off of the outer edge where I polished it. The rest of the wheel got a good sanding with 400 grit paper, and the whole wheel was cleaned with a good liquid pre-paint cleaner. I've done several sets of wheels over the years. If you are patient, it's a DIY job. Your spray environment needs to be clean, at least 65-70 degrees, and low humidity and they will come out as good as any pro shop can do. If you strip to bare metal, it's a good idea to use a bonding agent, or a self etching primer on the bare aluminum. I did my son's Aeros by completely stripping them and priming the area to get paint with a self-etching primer. The polished areas got just the DupliColor wheel clear.
