I guess I am one of those exceptions to this board - my saab is not pampered - road salt, long daily drives on dirt roads and hauling big stuff from Home Depot take care of that...my commute is 50 miles/return into town and it is driven in -30 C weather, through salt, on muddy back roads, dodging deer and porcupines along the way

- its held together by binder twine and moose spit - the doors are from an 84, the head an 87 and the body an 86.

I use it to go skiing in the dead of winter (made a flip down door at the arm rest to carry skis inside) and canoeing in the summer

I have fixed virtually EVERYTHING on this car - interior has been fully removed several times to access the wiring, brake lines and floor boards, headliner, door motors, engine pulled to do a timing chain and head, water pump, rad, fuel injection all given attention to - yet it refuses to die and gets the weirdest looks from people on the street - a combination of what the heck is that, to I want one.

recently did a 1000 mile return trip to Niagara Falls - averages about 37 mpg highway (imp) and has some issues with hot starts but other than that its ok - steering rack is starting to go and body is twisted slightly due to old age..
