Saab does recommend 10-30w. If you change to 75-80w, only use this while the weather temperature is above freezing. The old VW had 90w in the trans. and winter was some hard shifting until the oil warmed. Definitely DO NOT use the "Lucas" gear oil additive. This product will blow the bearing. I Know this when I had noise in my 87/9000t and added 20% Lucas and the tranny bearing blew. Too much hydrostatic pressure. Synthetic 75-80w might be best since temperature doesn't affect it as much.
