my daughter's vw jetta had similar issue- She has a cowl on it like my c900. Parked on the down hill it cups water in th cowl and perhaps overflows the drains. To solve that one I drilled a smallish ~1/4 inch hole into each of the corners of the cowl- so the water can piddle out.
Secondly- I had tried to clear the drain tubes in the front of the sunroof tray- I used a pneumatic hose with small fitting and gave it a few shots of compressed air. .... but it still leaked - so I got a small compression fitting, and used a heat gun to pun the fitting onto a smaller diameter hose than that in the sunroof tray and pushed the new hose into the old one and used a little dab of 3M 4200 to seal the flair of the compression fitting into the top of the old. No problem since. BTW- make sure you have no smallish acorns or crud in the sunroof tray as that could also prevent a clean close of the sunroof or block the drain.
