I've got the same prob w/my 85' 900t 3dr (manual SR). I can't find a damn leak anywhere! I'm suspicious of the sunroof of course, but there's no evidence pointing to that & the drains all flow properly. The H2o seems to be trickling in past/over/by the LR wheel well (I think), so it's the LR pop out window that I'm concentrating on.
My 87' 900t 3dr suddenly started leaking massive amts of H2o past the SR...only after I parked it on a slope. In that case I quickly discovered a clogged LF SR drain orifice. Unfortunately the car had been sitting unused for a few weeks & the drivers seat, rear seatbelts (oddly, just the rear) & LS carpet became moldy.
At any rate, your drivers seat being wet is a big clue. Even though you only percieve wetness on the bottom, the water has to be comming from above (unless there are gremlins armed w/"super soakers" in the car). Have a look at your SR drains...easy 1st step.
