Radiator fan stuck on-pass. side

On my 93 turbo Cabrio, jumped in to enjoy a sunny day,lo & behold-dead battery! While jumping I noticed the pass. side fan was stuck on after sitting overnight.After pulling fan fuse, was able to jump, but how to fix the constant on? Following an old stale thread, I replaced the radiator fan relay (in fuse box)with a NAPA universal-still on! As per other suggestions, cleaned the contacts on the radiator, above the hoses, and popping the AC dashboard "snowflake" button, pulling the plug (did same to recirc. button next to it)STILL CONSTANT FAN ON. Don't have any electrical testing equipment, & wondering where to go from here!
Any advice appreciated
