89 900s wiring problems

This is my first post and i really am baffled with this car.I have worked on these for 20years. The electrical system acts like it shorted out like the melted harness above the converter on older 900's meaning parking brake and brake light indicators on dash along with no charging system and and accessories like fan, wipers ,windows.The car starts and runs fine and the headlight system is good. Here is the weird part-the problem is intermittent.I have driven this for the last week to work and it will be bad for a day then be cured as I drive it again -some times on start up or while it is being driven. The voltage is 14.5 when it is working,all the typical grounds have been cleaned and I swapped out a ignition switch just today with no luck.This car had been sitting a year and I replaced the blown engine just last month. My friend is getting impatient to get this delivered as am I, he is driving my 93turbo.
