of course if you go to 88+ at that point you lose the emergency brakes (which are on the fronts on 87 and older and MOVE to the rears on 88+ same as the 9000s), unless you do the rears too, which you should because the hubs will be different and need new different wheels front to rear. of course IF you decided to go to 88+ style wheels, do the new calipers on the rear wheels, all to move to the 88+ on the fronts, then you REALLY should do it right and put 9000 front brakes in instead of 88+ brakes.
