A shout out to Saabina - the cruise in my '93 900S occassionally worked intermittently (yes, I know - synonyms, but an accurate description) to the point where I gave up trying it. I had checked the usual suspects; vacuum lines, brake and clutch switches, but they checked out fine. Trolling the board, I came across the 'bake the board for 10 minutes at 375' suggestion, and thought "What have I got to lose?".
Disassembled the unit, put the board on some wadded up foil (with a piece of parchment paper to eliminate any hot spots) and followed instructions. A week and 750 miles later, cruise is working just fine. I appreciate all of the helpful advice on this board. It would otherwise be difficult (or extremely expensive) to keep 20 year old iron on the road.
