I've seen that on parts lists before. It refers to how the fan is attached to the shaft. The only way to be sure is to take it out and eyeball it. They probably had a few different suppliers and the fan that got installed depended on whose fan was in the parts bin at the time.
IIRC, it took 2-1/2 to 3 hours to replace the cabin fan in my '89 SPG when I did it 4 or 5 years ago.
