Hood air inlet door ? Posted by SaabStalker [Email] (#1098) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SaabStalker) on Mon, 22 Feb 2016 21:23:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
In conversation with another Saab owner he was wondering what caused the inlet door to hang open (down) when car was off. He started naming a few suspect components. I told him I'd never owned a Saab 900 where that door was not down when engine was off. Then I thought surely Saab did not design it that poorly as there are several obvious advantages for it to be closed at rest. Water can't get in, nor can small leaves or small critters that block the drain outlet. I then followed that logic to, over time something that was to keep the flap up and the inlet closed wore out. Whats the real truth, Poor design or worn out something?
