I'm sure to forget a step thanks for bringing it up becouse yes the 9000 set up is to freaken fat once installed.
I'm sure I didn't know about the extra thickness and didn't find out until the 9000 fly wheel was installed along with the pressure plate. Moding the pp consisted of a saws all and a grinder :)) and after it was done the pressure plate looks like a metal monster got hungry and took a bite out of it.
I'd definitely go for shaving the 3mm but at the time I was in a 'oh f**k situation with the flywheel and pp bolted in, so took enough metal off the pp just to have the slave slip by it all worked out becouse I didn't have access to a shimming devise to go the 3mm and the guy who resurfaced the flywheel had a hard time understanding English which would of been a fat chance having him shave 3mm even if I did know about it. I guarantee you if I needed to rebuild the clutch down the road only the clutch plate would get redone no way I'd mod another pp, would opt for reusing my old one.
But on the lighter side of things, just recently fired up the 9000 and took it for a spin around town tried to get the spg running but the fuel in the lines turned to water, she pops off with starting fluid every time but has some serious degraded fuel. Might take some extra elbo grease to get it running again. Turbos are a blast to drive but the only turbo I use now days is the extra shot of turbo in my dunkin donuts coffee :)
Nice to see you guys are here holding down the fort two thumbs up man!!
