I removed my lens by carefully using a razor blade to cut around the seal of the lens and the plastic bucket. It takes some time and patience as the grey sealant holds quite well. Have read where you can put the light assembly in the oven at say 200 to soften the sealant and allow for easier removal however I can not confirm that,I can confirm that any liquid poured into the light and swirled around is not a good idea and can have a very adverse effect, reason I ended up using a razor blade if you get my meaning. The silvering is very very delicate, even water on it will dry and leave spots, try and rub off the spot and the silvering is gone. I ended up going to new E-codes and will have the old reflectors re-plated when I find someone that does plastic.
