Hi All, Trying to bleed the clutch on an 87 SPG. New master cylinder, new clutch line, new slave cylinder. I've read the posts about reverse bleeding. The problem that I am having is destroying the seal on the slave. Using a Motive bleeder to first get fluid coming out of the slave and then reverse plumbing with the Motive and pushing fluid back into the reservoir. Using around 5-7 lbs pressure. I thought I had it bled using this method. However, I tried putting a stick from the front of the seat to the clutch pedal and kept moving the seat forward incrementally while trying to remove the clutch spacer. I had to move the seat all the way forward, at which point the pedal was pretty much on the floor. Still couldn't get the spacer out. Tried pumping the clutch pedal a couple of times and after about the 3rd time, the pedal went soft and had fluid coming out of the slave. When can you fully depress the pedal without blowing the seal? Have others had problems getting the spacer out after bleeding and what's the fix for that? Thanks for the help/advice.
