They are expensive, that's why I was looking for a US-based alternative. Then again the OEM hard plastic ones I've seen on eBay are also around $300. I'm a little reluctant to spend that kind of money on a piece of 25+ year old plastic.
The one I had on an old Triumph TR4A had the snaps but it was full size and you could unzip just the drivers side. Was really nifty on those cool fall days when you could trap the output of the heater under the tonneau.
I also owned a Jag XJ-S and it had the smaller one that covered the top only, behind the rear parcel shelf, but it had a different hooking mechanism along the back and sides that was much cleaner looking and was essentially invisible. I'll have to think about how that worked...it's been a few years.
