Just replaced my ABS master in my '94 vert. Put in a known to be good used unit out of a parts car I have. After a thorough brake bleed, per the Bently manual, I now have seemingly good brakes. Problem is: If I hit the brake pedal with a quick jab, the "Anti Lock" and "low brake fluid" lights come on momentarily, either parked or driving. They take about two seconds to go back off. During this time I'm guessing the ABS pump is re-pressurizing the system. I've driven the car a couple miles and keep jabbing the pedal and I'm still getting this symptom. I believe the cannon ball pressure tank on the master to be good, as it worked fine when it was on the donor car. Any ideas from the SAAB brain trust? As a note, I did not replace the junction block that sits about 8 inches forward of the master on the left side inner fender. I didn't think that had issues...but? Second issue: Car wouldn't go into 5th gear. Pulled the shifter out by removing the three screws and adjusted the reverse lock out rod per Bently... 22mm. That seemed to interfere with going into fifth..take it back out, pull clevis pin and retract/screw it up into the shifter, and reassemble. Now car shifts into fifth, but there's no need to pull up on reverse collar to get into reverse...and the gate going into fifth seems sloppy, ie: searching for fifth's location in the pattern. Can't seem to find a happy medium, as I've now tried to adjust this approx. five times during the day today on my test drives. I did read something about a temp/fifth gear lockout to preventr car going into fifth while still cold, but don't know if that applies on this '94. I know it'll take some typing from somebody, but I'm at a dead end and this page has bailed me out of every SAAB problem I've ever had in my 20+ years of being in "the club". If anybody can shed some light, I sure would appreciate it! Thanks in advance, Bob
