The old "sell or keep?" dilemma

So, I finally got my 1990 C900 back from my son. I drove it daily for 15 yrs and gave it to him 4 yrs ago, when I started driving my 2002 9-3 on a regular basis. Now he's moved on to another vehicle, and he's given the C900 back to me to sell. I figured that I couldn't justify a 2nd vehicle (3rd if you count my Honda PCX), especially one that needs rust repair, paint, and interior fabrics. No problem, right? I'll just do what it needs to bring it back to an acceptable level of maintenance (old Saab habits die hard), and throw it out on craigslist. The problem is, as I've been doing the maintenance and driving it around, I've been reminded of how enjoyable it is to drive.
Crap.
So now I'm waffling. I know it doesn't make "financial sense" to keep a 28 yr old car with over 300,000 miles on it, a failed ABS system, failed seat heaters, no A/C, a wonky fuel gauge, and a number of smaller -- uh -- quirks. I know it's going to need other things if I keep it. 2nd gear has recently started the cold weather synchro issue, so a rebuild of the original tranny is finally on the horizon. I don't have the minimum $3,000-$4,000 it will take for body repair and paint, and I have no garage space for it, so its appearance will only get worse. But dammit, it's *way* more enjoyable to drive than the 9-3.
I'd love to have to time and money to restore it, but I don't. Should I sell it and hope a new owner will do those things? Or keep it and watch it slowly decay as I enjoy its final years?
