hi,
can anyone definitively say which pin of the h33-3 block that the exciter wire from the dash bulb to the alternator goes through? My bentley shows different pins depending on which wiring diagram i am looking at (for example alt wiring vs combined controls wiring show different pins for the same circuit).
It looks to me that i have a white wire w/ a green trace in pins 4 and 25. my bentley shows pin 5 for alt wiring-don't think this is right? also, my h33-3 block is blue, where bentley indicates it should be grey (different market?). the orientation of the h33 block schematic in bentley also seems weird. ie, it seems to be showing orientation of the pins as though the two haves of the h33 block were separated?
i have 12v to the printed circuit at one side of the bulb, but must have a broken exciter wire somewhere between the other side of the printed circuit to the alternator connection.
i have no battery light on acc, and no charge (no excitement) when running; open circuit...note that alt ground is not the issue (grounding the exciter wire does not help), nor is the bulb burned out.
i need to do a continuity test on this portion of the circuit. as the wires are so fine, i really don't want to do a lot of prick testing to find the correct wire. its too bad the connection blocks are tucked so far up- especially when the fuses are so accessible. i assume there is a clip on the top of the h33 block similar to the clip on the bottom of the block in order to separate the two halves of the plug? i can't see/access the top of the block.
