The Konis referred to are Speciai Red's, Koni's line for "classic" cars.
I would suggest determining the source of your "clunk" before proceeding further. If it falls under the purview of your project, then continue. If not, then fix it first. I also suggest doing the front shocks and bushings at the same time, since the shocks require removal to service the bushings. This is a sufficiently unpleasant experience that you won't want to do it twice.
The rear shocks are much more accessible and only need be unbolted at the bottom to allow suspension work.
Given the extensive disassembly inherent in the front end work you might also consider this an opportunity to do some driveline work as well, such as greasing the drivers,inspecting/replacing the boots, and inspecting/greasing the wheel bearings. Also a good time to look at ball joints and tie rods.
Without knowing the specific history of your vehicle, at 28 years and likely more than 150K miles, unless you know better, everything should be suspect. Approaching this as a restoration rather than just an upgrade will save the prospect of having to dive back in the future.
Lastly, a fresh front end alignment is requisite after any major front suspension work.
Good luck and please report back on your progress.
