Not sure if anyone is still following this thread - but I am experiencing the same problem. I ordered a part from Europarts and was informed they had to send a substitute part that did not fit. I went to autozone after seeing a post on a prior question that gave me the correct part number.
My issue now is that I can't seem to get it to seat into the hole. The bolt pattern hits the housing for the oil filter. I thought it was seated and ended up dumping a couple of quarts out over a day - which was scary. I added a washer, but still don't feel like it is seated. Also - there isn't a lot of space to get any kind of wrench in there to torque it down.
Any thoughts? Add another washer? I feel like there is plenty of thread to make that work but worried it is going to leak around the washers.
