So it's been just a week now since the idle issues started.
I didn't drive yesterday but today I checked the distributor cap for water but didn't expect to find any since it's been a week. A little oil which I wiped out. I unplugged the AIC and connections looked good.
The only thing I did was change the AMM to one that at the time, still idled high but not as bad as the previous one.
Today it ran fine. The only thing is when the fans kick in, the idle really drops but does come back up. Didn't want to put the old AMM back which ran better until I had issues since this one's acceptable. I think I'll wait for the new one to come and then swap it in. Hope it holds until then.
I think what may have happened is since the coatings on the wires going to AMM and AIC have deteriorated/separated at the plug ends, perhaps some water got into the contacts. This is only a guess but I think I'll shoot some silicon into the end of the plugs to try to avoid this in the future.
Hopefully my problem has gone away.
Thanks for your input!
Tushy
