Question #2 / voltage drop at Time Relay? Posted by 2nd Owner [Email] (#70) [Profile/Gallery] (more from 2nd Owner) on Mon, 7 Dec 2020 14:30:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Trying to purge gremlins/gnomes today. While doing the Bentley tests for the Time Relay I got these two readings that I am wondering about.
terminal 50: 7.2 V
terminal 85: 700 mV
Both should be around 11 - 12 during cranking. I'm using a digital meter and not sure if when the starter is drawing could it split or fluctuate the voltage enough to only show 7.2 at 50?
At the battery itself I do show 11.4 during cranking.
also, nothing at terminal 85 concerns me.
BTW: I tested 50 at the ignition switch itself and got a full battery reading.
Overall, I'm am having intermittent issues with the cold injector working sometimes/ then sometimes not. Acceleration enrichment working sometimes and sometimes not. Hot issues / cold issues / all random.
cold/hot ground relay, I'm looking at you next...
