The first one I used on a 900 was the red Harbor Freight one that Doug posted. It definitely feels safe to use because the thing is huge, but I had a hard time getting it to compress the springs enough to get them out, but maybe that was just my car. It definitely feels safe to use. The alternative that I ended up using later was the cheaper on Harbor Freight sells. They have better access to the spring (you can get it over more of the coils) but the downside is it feels dangerous because the tool literally bends a great deal when compressing the spring. So you end up turning a bolt that is obviously bent. Harbor Freight has a new design however which I picked up last weekend, which seems to be a little more sturdy than the other ones I used (attaching the photo). I would try the big red claw one from Harbor Freight first and if you cant get it out, go for the cheaper ones with more access.
