So :
1)you have a checkvalve issue if you have no pressure when testing....
2) you think building pressure takes too long: your fuel pump may not be working as fast as rogers new one to build the initial pressure ( empty / low tank gas level also make the pump work harder....could also be a factor)
so its sounds like you have choices to make:
a) replace checkvalve : a bit tricky but not impossible.... lol its being done all the time
b) replace fuel pump and hope that works faster than the current one: getting an OEM walbro pump is not that easy....there are lots of fakes out there saying "walbro" on them ....(realize that to replace the pump you have to disconnect the connector w the check valve and its brother from the fuel pump.... so thats already 25% of the job to replace the checkvalve...)
c) keep on cranking but make it easier on the pump by keep yr tank full
at least thats how i understand things...
its your car...your choice...
