Psi of fuel pressure regulator

Hello all, wondering if someone could help me out with this query as the internet is not much help.
Recently my fuel pressure regulator went (it was original on my 1987 900) and the only replacement I could find was a slightly different psi. My car is a 900 turbo and it’s original pressure setting for the regulator was 2.5 bar. The new one is 3.0 bar. The research I had done told me this would likely be fine, but since installing it I’ve noticed a decrease in power overall; struggling to get up hills even with a wide open throttle, when it had been very responsive before.
Does anyone know if this 0.5 bar difference would cause this?
When the fuel pressure regulator blew it sent gas just about everywhere in the engine. I’ve since cleaned up the spark plugs and there’s no more gas coming out of every orifice, but I wonder if this fouled the engine so badly that it still isn’t running right.
