That should pass the 4ga wire just fine. Then, there's another grommet on the real firewall. The worst part though, is where it comes out - behind the dash above the steering wheel, a real spaghetti of wires and tubes and such. Worst part of the whole stereo install, I say. Not that it matters to me now that mine is 'done' (ha!), but I sure would be curious to know if someone has found a better place to go through the firewall.

I'm only running 8 ga to the trunk, and it works just fine, but I am only using about 240 watts RMS right now, which isn't a lot.
