My point was that you can put a turbo onto a NA engine, but you need to do some engine mods to do it. Swapping cams is a little more complex than bolting a turbo on.

The point is that putting a turbo on is more than just bolting a turbo on. You need to make some modifications of the engine, even if it's 'just' changing cams. And you must admit, even with that you don't have the same performance as a 'stock' turbo engine. To get the full power, durability, and most importantly, driveability of the stock turbo, you need the stock turbo stuff, including FI system.

Remember, to a lot of people, changing out cams is the equivalent of rocket science. There is a broad range of skills out there. I'm going to make a real generalization here, but if someone has to ask if it's possible to bolt a turbo onto a NA engine, chances are good they don't have the experience to handle the 'oh-by-the-ways' that mean the difference between working and not working.
