I put Bridgestone S-03s on. My personal experience with the P6000 (2 sets) tire isn't all that good. I rate them just a hair above the Michelins which I've had (Energy, Pilot) . On a scale of 1-10, I give the P6000s a 5.5 the Bridges rate 9.9. The P6000s I had wore out faster than the S-03s! The grip was better than the Michelins in the dry and a tad better in the wet (which doesn't say much). Initially, when I put S-03s on I actually thought my rotors had somehow resurfaced themselves and found myself visually checking them. It didn't dawn on me that tires would make such a HUGE difference in braking... I was sure I had a prob with my rotors gripping too good for some odd reason. Anyway, I'm not saying you should go out and buy S-03s, just that tires make a difference. Don't really know what the prob is with your car except your saying you have lousy braking. How hard do you have to step on it and on what kind of surfaces? Care to expound.
