On my 98 CSE I removed the sensor by first poping out the trip computer. This is done by prying at its bottom with a thin putty knife blade. Then pry off the grate of the sensor with a small flat blade screw driver from one of the sides. If you then slip a thin blade of a pocket knife by the topside of the sensor to release the top clip one can tilt out the sensor with a hand through the tip computer opening then release the lower clip and pull in the sensor. It may make it easier to push out the right seat heater control temporarily. Be carefull not to lose the foam gasket at the outer end of the sensor when pulling it out through the trip computer opening. Mine was full of lint. I was not sure if or how to lubricate it since the bearings are not visible and may be plastic. I ended up squirting in some electric contact cleaner and lubricant that drys quickly and leaves a small amount of silicone lubricant. Its been pretty quiet since. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I seem to remember that on my 94 CSE (now my son's work car) that the thing did push out not in but I am not sure.
