Hi Henry,
I have 2 9k's both N/A and automatic trans model year '92 & 91CD respectively. One is a hatchback, with 235k and the other one with 241k. I have replaced the governor seal on the hatchback (shift quickly)and did same with the CD. But on the CD, I found out that the governor seal looked perfect, though I had to replaced it anyway since it is already opened. One more that I did in the CD, I replaced the valve body accumulator A spring when it clunked on forwards. Those maintenance items are ok for me as long as they would be restored to normalcy, which they are now. I see to it that yearly trans oil change is done and once in a while oil level checks. I'm happy for how they perform, even with NA and hopefully will stay for some more years...good luck and enjoy saabing.
