Why is the CEL on now?

The CEL was on previously due to a restriction in the fuel system (leaves in the tank), causing a lean condition. You corrected the problem and now the CEL is on again. What codes are being generated now? If they are the same ones, it could be that something is stuck in the fuel delivery farther upstream, such as within the fuel rail, pressure regulator, injectors, etc.
Personally, I don't think you need an ECU, but should have the complete fuel system checked over. When the pressure was checked, that was done at the fuel rail. However, one of the injectors could be clogged (Bank 1, from the previous codes?), causing the CEL to come on again.
BTW: the ECU# you have is the same for a '97 or '98 Auto (Aero and CSE).
