Well, I have been fortunate enough to avoid any serious maintenance here in Bozeman (Not because I think it would be a bad place to have to have some done, but because it's just nice to not have to deal with fixing anything...)
When I arrived in town (a couple years ago) I asked around whenever I saw a Saab. The overwhelming answer I got was "take it to Straightaway Motors." It's an independent shop on Mendenhall, just of Main Street. I stopped by once, and they really seem to know their stuff. I see Saabs and other Euro brands there (Including an old 2-stroke that seems to live there.) I don't think its particularly "cheap," but I do get the feeling it's the only place in town that really knows Saabs. (The nearest Saab dealer is in Billings, 140 miles east, so there aren't a lot of them around here... The Audi dealership in town does quite well as its the only real Euro brand being represented.)
July is a great time to be here. The "rainy season" is over (May-June) and the mountains are accessible for hiking and fishing (The water is down by then). Be ready for thunderstorms, but also be ready for some beautiful scenery. (See picture... last July out front of my place)
Hope this helps, and thanks for the kind words...
~Peter
