1993 Aero TPS fault - could it actually be the TPS?

Salutations:

First of all, long time no post - sorry guys, been working.

The old Aero has been running well from 96,000 to 153,000 miles with expected failures at appropiate miles. Several important hoses started to fail around 110 - heater core leaked from 90,000 - blower motor controller went at 140, serpentine idler and mount failed around 120 .. Shocks soft, roofliner coming away and started to rust in the roof and one of the forward wings. Only weird thing was this winter when mount cage that holds the pedals broke-up at the clutch mount. Required a new cage be fabricated and installed.

In short - a hard used saab 9000 aero that owes me nothing and has been, until now, pulling hard in all forward gears with a working TCS - until now.

I cleaned everything and checked the usual suspects - only to discover the actual TPS box attached to the throttle pedal had broken off it's mount under the dash. Glued it back onto the mounting pin with great difficulty - but still kicks into limp mode.

Is there a way to check the actual TPS at the peddle? Or am I not understanding that shorts there have finally croaked off my otherwise happy and working throttlebody?
