If the down pipe and converter are the original parts, i.e., 20 years old, the answer is going to be "pretty d**m hard." The first step will be to soak the nuts and studs with PB-Blaster a day or two ahead of time. For nuts on the cat, use a torch and heat the nuts up until they start to turn red. Use a deep well 6 pt. socket and go slowly. If you snap the bolts off the converter you will probably have to buy a new converter as the bolts are pressed into the flange. At least two of thee nuts at the turbocharger end can be reached with long extensions from the far side of the water pump. There is one nut that you can only get to with a box end wrench. I can't remember which one, but it will be apparent, once you start. The torch is harder to use on the turbo studs because there is not much room. Take out the cooling fan to give yourself more room.
