I have a couple of confessions to make.
1, I'm Saabless, as my wife and I drove my '94 Aero from Washington, DC to Milwaukee, WI to turn the car over to my son. Car ran fine, but I did notice the AC compressor was turning itself on/offT randomly. The only thing I could think of was that I needed to adjust the clutch spacer washers, as I had done a few years ago in my '91. Never did get the chance to do it while I was there, as I was nursing a bad foot and I didn't want to screw anything up for him without testing it myself. My son is a pathology resident, but he is really clueless.
2. Before I left for Milwaukee, I had a bunch of things done to the car including replacing the two upper motor mounts and the one lower trans mount. My 'silicone' repair needed repair again, and I just decided to bite the bullet and get new mounts for my clueless son. The Aero is going to be his winter, as his 2001 325 BMW wagon, his med school graduation present, doesn't go to well in snow.
3. If another Aero came my way (has to be auto, as I now have chronically bad left foot), I'd probably snap it up, as it is an amazingly useful car. You can't imagine all the stuff, including large potted plants, that we carried to Wisconsin.
