I wrote my earliet post at about 1 this morning, so I was a little weary at the time. Anyway, I wanted to share a few necessary pieces of information that I left out last night.
Whe the car wouldn't start, I checked for fuel supply to the engine, and there was non. Once I recognized that the car was stoppling based on a fuel supply problem, I thought I would check to see if the fuel pump lost power at the fuse once the car died and also if it received powere when the car would not start. There was no power at the fuse for the fuel pump fuse after the car died, so I turned my attendtion to the FP relay next. I swapped the AC fan relay and the FP relay (same numbers) and the condition continued.
I searched some posts late last night and learned that you can measure pulses from the CPS by using an induction timing light on a section of the wiring harness near the DI cassette. I am going to try that step to determini if I should look further at the CPS. I also have spare control modules for the DI ECU and for the Fuel ECU.
Any suggestion? Am I on the right track? BTW, the car is a 1991 9kt.
Thanks,
